The kit is made from 2mm vacuum formed ABS plastic, urethane resin details, and rubber straps for the shoulders and calves. It is one size and will fit almost anyone 5'4" and above. It is a high weight limit set as well. The armor does meet 501st specifications for approval when it is built properly.

We expect another run of black ABS sheet to arrive the week of 10/19/2026. This run is fulfilling the last of any outstanding orders and putting 25 to 30 kits in stock. Either for sale as kits or to be built/finished/sold in addition to current work flow.

Mike here. We flirted with this idea a couple of months ago on our home page. We had our reasons and decided to pull back from it at the time. There was a medical scare with my wife and our shipping agent, Lisa. That was resolved with testing in mid-August. She’s fine. We’re sitting on medical debt now. In mid-July, with an uncertain future, I took a full time job in addition to what we are doing at 850. I am hopeful to transition this into my next career and “retirement” job. Not retirement in the typical sense, but a job that is a lot less physically demanding than what I have been doing the past 11+ years. We not only have debt from medical bills; keeping us propped up utilizing personal credit fulfilling all the orders out of pocket from the split with our previous parent company has taken it’s toll. We have been able to fulfill all but 3 of those orders(in progress now) and fulfill the majority of new orders we took over the past year. Those are in progress now, too, including getting to the point of making inventory for the first time in absolutely forever. I know we would have been OK if we didn’t have the debt of those old orders.

I thought we were doing the right, honorable thing. I could have walked away in June of 2025 and left $75k in orders hanging. I didn’t.

As has been documented in one of our terrible live videos, I explained the entire story of what we went through, what we were doing, and how we planned on moving forward. I thought we would be able to pull through it all and grow the company. From adding t-shirt production, a few new products that should have been easier/faster to ship, engaging more with social media, starting a FFL, and our storefront with 3D printing; we thought we would be OK. I am not blaming anyone or any single event on what is leading us here. There are factors: the split, the order “debt”, taking on debt to fulfill the orders, “brand damage” from lack of films/bad TV production, dwindling interest in the clubs, the rise of 3D printing becoming more mainstream/people making their own(this is not a bad thing, it’s encouraged. There’s room for both and we support making fully), rising inflation/cost of doing business, and lastly this stupid Iran war the USA started. March 1st, I knew there would be problems. Gas prices rise, inflation goes up, people have less money to spend on their toys. We sell toys, not necessities. I’ve seen it before. With a different business model and less overhead, someone can be successful supporting themselves with this business. We’re not in the position to and I’ll explain how to make this successful further down.

I have been in and out of this industry since 1998. This final endeavor since December 2015. Eleven years straight was a pretty good run. Beyond the factors mentioned, I do have additional reasons to begin moving away. I’m bruised, broken, exhausted physically and mentally working 10 to 12 hours a day/6 days a week. It’s not enough. It’s not fast enough. That’s why me transitioning into a new job is critical. It’s time to move away from this industry once and for all. This isn’t some new revelation. This is a young man’s game. At 45, I’m not young anymore. Lisa has been asking me for years how long I can keep this up. The plan was to grow, add employees that could take over manufacturing, train people on how to build armor, and keep it going. In Pensacola and with our overhead, that’s not possible. Have to face reality at some point.

Here is what is included

1. Sibe Automation 24×36 Vacuum forming machine, push button. Purchased in 2018 with aluminum platen upgrade. This was my “dream” machine. I had 2 Belovac 24×48 machines previously. The same type of machine used by Walt’s Trooper Factory and KB Props. The Sibe machine is excellent. https://sibeautomation.com/products/vacuum-forming-machines/single-station/

2. 24×24 capacity Stelter Creative Woodworks built frame in frame rotocast machine. Purchased in 2020 and comes with an extra Dayton high torque motor.

3. All of our vacuum forming molds. I’m not listing out every suit. They’re on the website and more that aren’t listed.

4. All of our rotocasting molds, helmets and Death Watch Jetpack. Helmets aren’t as hot as they used to be with printing being more favorable now. It’s still part of what is needed.

5. 3D Printers: 2 jupiters, 1 saturn 4, 1 anycubic K3 Max, 1 Anycupic K2 Max, and 1 Anycubic Kobra 3. This is all that’s needed to make any additional parts.

6. Rubber molds and masters for cast resin and rubber parts

7. Model files and production file library

8. Supplier information. Where and what to buy for plastic sheet, resin, and rubber.

9. Website. We will transition the website over to you. Feel free to use the name, you’ll have to build your own reputation.

10. Facebook, instagram, tiktok, twitch, whatever other socials we have. It’s built in. Again, you will need to build your own reputation.

11. You ARE NOT getting any old outstanding orders. This is our responsibility. You are getting a clean slate.

12. Training and mold lay outs. I will train you on how to run the vac forming machine and the efficient layouts to keep your costs low.

13. NO SHIPPING this is pick up only. You’ll need a big 24’ Penske or Uhaul truck and may need to rent a forklift to load/unload.

14. Shelving. Any of the mold shelving is yours. We have additional shelving still in use that does not go. Basically, if it’s pictured, it’s going.

How to make this successful

1. Build inventory first after getting set back up.

2. Order your first run of sheet plastic while you’re getting your shop set up.

3. Try to avoid finished work unless you are ahead of inventory production. Best if you build up some paint ready sets. Only do it between major production runs.

4. Stay ahead of inventory as you sell. Reorder plastic knowing there is a 3 to 4 week lead time for delivery. Remake inventory and have full kits ready to ship within a few days.

5. Stay small, keep your overhead low. One or two part time helpers or immediate family.

6. If you’re on a lot of land and don’t need to rent a commercial location, this would be best. Most makers work out of their garages. I don’t recommend that. It would be best suited in a separate building at least 20’x40’ with a solid 200amp service, single phase electric.

Files printed from Chamanleon FX wonderfully engineered and designed files. This hollow jetpack is easy to assemble and even run electronics. 

Each one is custom printed from durable ABS like Resin.  No more tedious sanding of PLA printed parts. Only minor sanding, gluing, and filling required. They weigh in right around 5lbs. Harness systems coming soon.

Shipping lead time is INVENTORY DEPENDENT. In many cases it will ship out within 2-3 weeks but can ship out with in a week depending on inventory levels.
